The latest Research...

The latest research proves good oral health is crucial for overall health.  Reducing inflammation in the mouth will reduce inflammation in the body.

Healthy, tight gums surround our teeth and protect us from the ever-present bacteria and its toxins. Any bleeding or inflammation in the gums allow bacteria and toxins to enter the bloodstream and the digestive system. Studies show that over 80% of the general population has some form of gum or oral disease.  There are several ways you can increase your oral health.

Optimal oral health has several basic components: a strong immune system, a balance in life
activities, healthy food choices, bio available nutritional supplements, regular professional dental care and an effective home oral care regime with safe, natural products.

The use of natural products that nourish, cleanse and heal oral tissues is extremely beneficial to your oral health. Choose oral health care products that are edible. Products that do not have warning signs on them are healthier for you and your family.

Ground sea salt mixed with   baking soda, and tooth powders and  toothpastes that have natural   ingredients are a good choice. Avoid  alcohol-containing mouthwashes.   Alcohol dehydrates (dries out) gum  tissue and cells in the mouth.   It   facilitates entry of harmful chemicals into the soft tissue of the
mouth. Alcohol can also harm composite and cosmetic (white/bonded) fillings.

Prevent and reduce oral inflammation by ‘mouth cleansing’. Using a soft, dry brush, add toothpaste/powder and gently  brush your teeth using a massaging action. Use the same brush to gently  scrape your
tongue. Clean the crevices between your teeth and gums with  a dental rubber tip, floss or water pik.

Inflammation in your  mouth means inflammation in your whole body. Studies have shown that  inflammation leads to heart disease, arthritis, diabetes, strokes, heart  attacks, and premature labour/low
birth weight in pregnancy.

A  realistic home care program for oral health empowers you to have control  over your oral health. Compassionate and therapeutic dental care will provide careful instrumentation, motivation, and
education.
